Fructus Reborn

I don't usually like to show older pieces here, but with Mother's Day & IF's "kernel" prompt coinciding, this oddment insisted it belonged here, & it just wouldn't shut up! So I spoke with the crazy lady who makes the rules for this blog & she said I could do it just this once.
;-) I've actually made some (slight) changes to the piece since I last posted it on Curious Art, so it isn't 100% old, anyway. Can you spot the tweaks?

Happy Mother's Day, everyone! And happy kernel week too!

  3. So sweet! I'm not a baby person so much, so my favorite part is those brilliant, shiny leaves. (Which seems like they got a bit of a makeover from the last version?) Such beautiful shape and detail and color. Always beautiful colors around here, of course!

  4. This is so appropriate and thank you for showing your older pieces as I have not seen everything yet of your massive body of work. Ah, the next time I pluck a fruit I better palpate it before I bite into it. :) Happy Mother's Day! Tsup!

  7. So peaceful and comforting. Lovely image. I'm not a mom to human children, but I am always amazed at the miracle anyway.

  11. Very intriguing image. The color and textures are extremely lush against the contrast of the green leaf.

Makes for a great take on "Mother Nature"!
