Gone are the days when the average gnome was content to spend his golden years happily puttering about the garden. Today's modern senior gnome stays buff in the gym, diligently swelling his biceps instead of his belly.

p.s. I know this is a little late for "Swell" but better late than never, I hope.
I'm just not sure if I can adjust to buff gnomes! lol Nicely done as always :)
ReplyDeleteBetter late than never! Perhaps you should have contributed Mr. Buff to Dreamworks' recent film. The protagonists in Gnomeo and Juliet were decidedly un-fit.
ReplyDeleteHahaha love your idea!! For sure he will live longer (healthier) then most of the other gnomes! Still if he influence them all to start pumping those biceps, I think I will miss the belly gnomes!! Love your style! And the dictionary texture on the background is a great addition.
ReplyDeleteJAJAJAJA MUY BUENO !!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLinda, future shock comes in many forms.
ReplyDeleteSL, Mr. Buff would like you to know that he is available as a personal trainer for animated characters, garden statues, game card avatars, & anywhere else his services are needed. (Hello Hollywood!)
Isabelle, don't worry, there will always be a few old-school gnomes who just want to lounge around nibbling mushrooms & talking about the good old days.
Karina, muchas gracias!
This is excellent! Instead of decorating the garden he can now protect the house.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Teresa-- maybe I'll install a sign saying "Beware of Gnome!"
ReplyDeleteI am now terrified.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you, Kathleen-- when this guy yells "Hey kid, get off my lawn!" he has the muscle to back it up.
ReplyDeleteI think I've seen this guy at my gym...wonderfully unexpected piece!
ReplyDeleteThis is great fun! And I expect a garden-gnome statue manufacturer will take note and they will spring up everywhere...
ReplyDeleteIf I was attracted to gnomes this is the one I would want. Love the vibrant colors, and text background.
ReplyDeleteSarah, come to think of it, he does look familiar...
ReplyDeleteAHA, so long as they aren't sentient, I can live with that.
Katie, watch what you say... he might get the wrong idea!
